Education

We want to make this rich history available to students of all ages. The Lorain Historical Society’s Children’s Curriculum and Education Coordinator, Jenn McManamon, has transformed the content from our “Celebrating 100 Years of Latino History in Lorain, Ohio” exhibit and created a lesson plan for teachers and educators of grades 1-5. The content is organized in a Google Slides format with a virtual timeline that fits the state of Ohio curriculum guidelines.

Our Toolkit for Educators

What is the Toolkit?

This tool is available for educators interested in teaching their students about Latino and Hispanic History in the city of Lorain and Lorain County. The toolkit holds essential information for Hispanic History Month and the Latino community.
